Here is another example of one of my boards. This is a colorway story of all the yellow pieces in my collection. Inspired by all the floral prints— this is my “Pampered in Pastels” collection for S/S 13.

Flats are made of clothing before they are put into production. It gives designers a feel for what their pieces will look like before they spend thousands of dollars.

Here’s an example of what I’m working on for my Kelado project. For my collection I had to design some knits that would be designed into a garment. I picked the gauge of the yarn, the stripes, and the flat. This is just one of 14 boards… yes really.

should be dutifully working on my kelado project here at FIT for finals… but instead, i’m creating lana del rey inspired boards. fun thing about fashion school is the fact you get access to archives of “flats” - 2D illustrations of your favorite fashion pieces.

p.s. feel free to print and grab your crayons… what? i would.
